On this day September 16, 1984, Miami Vice hit TV screens , running for 5 seasons with a total of 112 episodes. The show set a new standard for television with its blend of music, fashion, and gripping crime drama. Interesting tidbit: After the second season, Don Johnson became the highest-paid TV actor after threatening to leave the show. Today, he’s worth over $50 million!
