On this day, October 23, 1984, Wham! released their second album Make it Big. Featuring the iconic hit “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go,” the album shot to #1 on the US Billboard 200 charts and also topped the charts in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Japan. Make it Big solidified Wham!’s place as pop superstars.

Fun Fact: This was Wham!’s second and final album before George Michael embarked on his legendary solo career.
