  3. 1985 The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Freaky Styley album was released. The movies Volunteers, American Flyers, The Return of the Living Dead and Year of the Dragon were released. Sean Penn and Madonna got married in a clifftop mansion in Malibu, California.
  4. 1986 Madonna’s Papa Don’t Preach became number one in the U.S.

  4. 1987 New Order’s Substance Compilation and Tom Waits Franks Wild Years albums were released.
  5. 1988 2 Live Crew‘s Move Somethin' album was released.

  2. 1983 The movies Easy Money, Mr. Mom and Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn were released.
  3. 1985 The Family‘s the Family album was released. NBC's Today Show was interrupted by David Letterman by leaning out of his office window and yelled, "My name is Larry Grossman (The President of NBC News) and I'm not wearing any pants!"
  4. 1988 The movies Married to the Mob and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master were released.

  2. 1982 Yazoo’s Upstairs at Eric's album was released. The movie the Beastmaster was released.
  3. 1983 Heart’s Passionworks album was released. The Rolling Stones signed a $28 million dollar recording contract with CBS.
  4. 1985 Asia’s Astra was released.
  5. 1986 Huey Lewis and the News‘s Fore! album was released. In Edmonton, Oklahoma 44-Year old postal worker, Patrick Sherrill gunned down 14 of his co-workers and injuring 6 before turning the gun on himself.
  6. 1989 The tv show Saved By the Bell aired.
