On this day, November 27, 1981, The Human League released their iconic single “Don’t You Want Me.” The track became one of the defining hits of the 80s, blending synth-pop with unforgettable lyrics and a catchy melody.

“Don’t You Want Me” topped charts worldwide, including the UK, Canada, Belgium, Ireland, Norway, New Zealand, and Israel. In the U.S., it became the #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 from July 3 to July 23, 1982, solidifying its status as a global phenomenon.
