On this day, November 11, 1981, the crime drama Shannon premiered on CBS. The series starred Kevin Dobson as Jack Shannon, a police officer turned private investigator working the streets of San Francisco. Despite its intriguing premise, Shannon only ran for one season, producing a total of nine episodes before its cancellation.
