On this day September 13, 1986, the animated series Teen Wolf, based on the popular 1985 movie starring Michael J. Fox, made its debut on CBS. The show ran for 2 seasons and delivered a total of 21 episodes. The animated Teen Wolf followed the adventures of Scott Howard, a teenage werewolf trying to live a normal life while dealing with his werewolf transformations, just like in the original movie.

Although it didn’t enjoy the same level of success as the film, the animated series became a fun addition to Saturday morning cartoons, offering a mix of supernatural humor and relatable high school challenges.

Fun Fact!

In the animated series, Scott’s family, including his parents and little sister, were also werewolves, adding a different dynamic to the storyline compared to the original movie.
