On this day August 14, 1987, the cult classic The Monster Squad premiered, directed by Fred Dekker and featuring a cast that included Andre Gower, Duncan Regehr, and Tom Noonan. Despite its modest budget of $12 million, the film only managed to gross $3.8 million at the box office.
