On this day April 15, 1988, Racket Attack was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America. Developed by TOSE and published by Jaleco, the tennis game gave players a chance to compete in intense singles and doubles matches with a mix of arcade fun and light strategy.

The game featured male and female players with different strengths, court types like grass and clay, and a full tournament mode. It was one of the earlier NES sports titles to try and simulate a real tennis...
