On July 22, 1983, the third installment of the iconic Jaws series, “Jaws 3-D,” directed by Joe Alves, premiered in theaters. The film starred Dennis Quaid, Bess Armstrong, Simon MacCorkindale, Louis Gossett Jr., and marked the film debut of Lea Thompson. With a budget of $18 million, “Jaws 3-D” successfully grossed $88 million at the box office, with $45 million coming from domestic sales. The movie utilized 3-D technology to bring a new dimension of terror to audiences.
