On this day, October 23, 1980, John Lennon released the single “(Just Like) Starting Over.” The song became a massive hit, reaching #1 in America from December 27 to January 30, and also topped the charts in the UK, Canada, Spain, Austria, Ireland, Switzerland, and Australia. This comeback single was part of his final album Double Fantasy and became a bittersweet hit following his tragic death.
