Double Dragon
Double Dragon is the story of Billy and Jimmy Lee, twin brothers trained in the fighting style of Sou-Setsu-Ken. Together, they manage a small martial arts training school, teaching their students in self-defense. One day, Billy's girlfriend, Marian, is kidnapped off the street by the "Black Warriors", a savage street gang led by a man named Willy. The Black Warriors demand the Lee brothers disclose their martial arts secrets in exchange for Marian's freedom. The Lee brothers set out on a rescue mission to crush the Black Warriors and save Marian.

Double Dragon was such a fun game to play. I used to play it on the arcade and then on my Nintendo all the time.

Arcade version was way better of course haha and my life revolved around going to arcades to play this and Street Fighter 2...

Absolutely. The arcade was 100 times better than on the console.
Definitely...I can't think of any game that was better at home than at the arcade haha...obviously the RPGs weren't at any arcades but if they were they'd probably be way better somehow too haha...

The one thing that is better than playing a game at home than an arcade is that you’re home while playing.

For role playing like Final Fantasy etc for sure...but the more there nothing that comes close to what the arcades were which is the place for people to hang out and learn/watch/explore/gossip meet others who like arcades too...now have to go online to do all that stuff...

The punch and kick sounds were great. I had a lot of fun with double dragon.

They probably used the drum sounds from those tiny little Casio keyboards lol. I had one back then.

You’re right. One of my favorite places was the arcade. Unfortunately for me my dad had to drive me because the only arcade where I lived at was around 15 minutes away. I was just a kid.

I was lucky grew up along some main streets and could always walk to corner stores or laundry mats to check out arcade games and even just bus it to the malls...ah memories🥰

In that I was fortunate too. Nathans and your typical candy stores typic had a few arcades but nothing like visiting an actual arcade.

The good old days. I know there’s still arcade joints but the feeling won’t be the same like it was when we were young.

Yeah most of the arcades now attached to movie theaters or geared to children...some new hipster arcades that serve alcohol are expensive...missing the old school hole in the wall places...

Not to mention you were able to light up a cigarette too.

I beat DD many times. The last boss is Willy. If you defeat him you win. If you and player 2 defeat Willy together then you will have to fight each other.

Willy? They definitely put a lot though into the game characters lol. I could picture the game developers sitting around during a meeting. What do we name the final boss? Ah we’ll just name him Willy.

I also remember that the game just starts over again I think...the arcade one after the credits you start at beginning again...I remember the fighting each other part too I think haha...
