On December 27, 1989, the WWF aired the special pay-per-view event No Holds Barred: The Match/The Movie. This unique program featured a screening of the Hulk Hogan-starring film No Holds Barred, followed by an intense pre-recorded steel cage tag team match. Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake squared off against Randy Savage and Zeus, bringing the rivalry from the screen into the ring.
