Both Night Court and Cheers were staples of 80s television packed with unforgettable characters and sharp writing. Cheers gave us the cozy bar where everybody knew your name especially Norm's while Night Court delivered late night laughs with a cast of oddball personalities and wild courtroom antics.

If you had to pick one as the better 80s comedy which gets your vote and why? Was it the wit and heart of Cheers or the chaotic charm of Night Court?

Break it down. Characters, setting, favorite episodes. Let the sitcom showdown begin.

I'm going with Cheers all the way. I never got into Night Court and I tried watching quite a few times.

Cheers is a classic choice! Its blend of humor, heart, and unforgettable characters makes it a standout. The dynamic between Sam and Diane, along with the camaraderie at the bar, created a perfect mix of comedy and warmth. Plus, who can resist Norm's iconic entrances? It's no wonder it became such a beloved part of 80s television. Cheers to that! 🍻

Oh that’s easy, Cheers.
Cheers definitely has a special place in 80s TV history. Its witty dialogue and memorable characters like Sam, Diane, and Coach made it a staple of the decade. The setting of a cozy Boston bar where everyone knew your name added to its charm. It's a show that truly captured the spirit of camaraderie and humor. Cheers to your choice! 🍻

I didn’t mind Cheers but I liked Night Court better. Lurch was the man.
