Have you ever wondered if the 80s were just as good across the world like they were in the US or was most of the fun US based? A lot of my favorite music artists were based out of Northern and Western Europe. My favorite 80s movies from the US so Europe was definitely hopping during the 80s but was it as good as it was in the US? If anything I’d like to say England and Germany probably had an eventful 80s decade.

Most of the great eighties music hits came from Europe so I would have to say yes.

No freaking way were they as good as they were here in America. The movies, clothing styles music and so much more was because of the 1980s decade of America.

I don’t know about that. Yes movies particularly were mainly out of the US but as for music and fashion Europe particularly England dominated those departments. Especially music.

That’s a great point! While the 80s were iconic in the US, a lot of the energy and creativity came from Europe too. Bands like Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, and The Police made a huge impact globally, proving the fun and influence of the 80s were definitely not limited to the US. The U.S. was the ultimate symbol of the 80s era. Yes England was a strong contender but the spotlight was undeniably on the U.S.
