On this day, October 18, 1984, Toto released their fifth studio album Isolation. The album marked a shift for the band as it featured a new lead vocalist, Fergie Frederiksen, and took on a more rock-oriented sound compared to their earlier, more pop-focused work. While Isolation didn’t achieve the same level of success as their previous album Toto IV, it still showcased their signature musical craftsmanship and featured notable tracks like “Stranger in Town.”
