On this day, November 11, 1980, Too Close for Comfort premiered on ABC. Starring Ted Knight as a quirky cartoonist, this sitcom followed the humorous ups and downs of a family living in San Francisco and quickly became a fan favorite. Running for 6 seasons with 129 episodes, the show remains a memorable part of early ’80s TV.

Fun Fact! The iconic Too Close for Comfort house is located at 171-173 Buena Vista St. in San Francisco.
