On this day, November 25, 1985, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers released their first live album, Pack Up the Plantation: Live!. The album showcased the band’s electrifying performances, featuring recordings from their 1985 tour and a standout show at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.

The album peaked at #22 on the Billboard charts and included fan favorites like “Refugee” and “American Girl,” as well as a soulful cover of “Needles and Pins” with Stevie Nicks.
