On this day, December 25, 1986, Liberace made his final public appearance on a pre-recorded episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Just weeks later, on February 4, 1987, the legendary entertainer passed away from AIDS-related pneumonia at the age of 67.

Did you know? Liberace was the highest-paid entertainer in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, known for his flamboyant style, virtuoso piano performances, and larger-than-life personality.
