On this day, October 18, 1988, The Bangles released their third album Everything. The album reached #59 on the Billboard charts in the U.S., but it fared much better in the UK, peaking at #5. Everything featured some of the band’s most iconic tracks, including the hit ballad “Eternal Flame,” which remains one of their signature songs to this day. The album showcased The Bangles’ versatility, blending pop-rock with heartfelt melodies.

Do you think Everything deserved more success in the U.S., or was it always destined to be a bigger hit overseas?
