Directed by Lawrence Kasdan, the film starred William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, Geena Davis, Ed Begley Jr., David Ogden Stiers, and Bill Pullman. The heartfelt drama explored themes of grief, relationships, and self-discovery.

The movie was a critical and commercial success, earning $32.6 million at the box office. Geena Davis’ performance as Muriel Pritchett was especially celebrated, earning her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
