The 80s way to finding out what was playing on tv

This was the way we looked to see what was going to playing on tv during the week. The good old TV Guide.. How many of you remember doing that?

It was all about the tv guide back then. I also enjoyed reading the articles on tv shows and actors that they had. The tv guide was the best!

Being able to watch whatever the heck you want anywhere and anytime you choose is no fun. The anticipation to see whats playing on tv this week is over.

I say the same all the time but at the same time it's good knowing that you have the ability to watch whatever you want anytime lol. It's like a double edge sword.

Another reason why I’m grateful for growing up during the 80s.

That was like a bad side of the 80s. It’s so much easier now. I don’t even have cable. I watch what I want when I want on my Amazon Fire Stick. The best invention ever.

At the time, it felt frustrating. Going to the video store and hoping the movie I wanted was available was always a gamble. I can’t count how many times I felt disappointed to find out someone else had already rented it. But the excitement of finally taking it home when it was available is something I’ll never forget. That anticipation is gone now, but it’s great that we got to experience that unique moment of joy back then.
