Plot: Jack Chester, an overworked air traffic controller, takes his family on vacation to the beach. Things immediately start to go wrong for the Chesters, and steadily get worse. Jack ends up in a feud with a local yachtsman, and has to race him to regain his pride and family's respect.

John Candy in Summer Rental was just plain funny. Lots of good laughs especially in the first half of the film.
 
This movie was so funny! My favorite scene was when all these random people were walking into and using his summer rental home like it was opened for all. John Candy’s facial expressions were the best!!
