Plot: Stroker Ace movie is a lighthearted 1983 action comedy centered around the wild world of stock car racing. Burt Reynolds stars as the title character, a fast-living, ego-driven NASCAR driver who gets himself into a contract he cannot escape. Forced to represent a fried chicken chain owned by a pushy sponsor, Stroker’s rebellious nature clashes with the company's image, setting up a series of slapstick misadventures.

Directed by Hal Needham, the film reteams Reynolds with his Smokey and the Bandit collaborator for another blend of racing stunts and broad humor. The cast includes Loni Anderson, Jim Nabors, and Ned Beatty, with plenty of familiar faces from 80s comedy and action films.

While Stroker Ace movie did not achieve the same critical success as other Reynolds projects, it found a place among fans of racing flicks and goofy comedy. With fast cars, over-the-top antics, and plenty of southern charm, the film has become a quirky footnote in 80s movie history.

Whether you're a NASCAR fan or just looking for an easygoing 80s comedy, Stroker Ace is a fun ride through a very specific era of Hollywood entertainment.
