In 1983, Savage Islands, also known as Nate and Hayes, brought a swashbuckling pirate adventure to the big screen. Directed by Ferdinand Fairfax, the film starred Tommy Lee Jones, Michael O’Keefe, Max Phipps, and Jenny Seagrove. Despite its exciting premise and $7.5 million budget, it earned only $1.9 million at the box office.
