On this day, November 8, 1980, the animated series Richie Rich premiered on ABC. Based on the beloved comic book character, this show followed the adventures of the “poor little rich boy” Richie Rich, his family, and friends, mixing humor and lighthearted fun. Running for four seasons with 41 episodes, Richie Rich brought the comic pages to life for a new generation of young fans in the early ’80s.
