On this day September 4, 1987, Bananarama released their fourth studio album, Wow!, which quickly became a significant hit. The album reached #44 on the Billboard charts in the U.S. and achieved even greater success internationally, hitting #1 in Australia. Wow! featured several popular singles, including “I Heard a Rumour” and “Love in the First Degree,” solidifying Bananarama’s status as one of the leading pop groups of the 80s.
