On this day, October 3, 1980, Oh, God! Book II premiered in theaters! Directed by Gilbert Cates, this comedic sequel to the original Oh, God! once again starred George Burns as God, alongside Suzanne Pleshette, David Birney, and Louanne Sirota. The film had a modest box office success, grossing $14.5 million. Although it didn’t reach the same heights as the original, George Burns’ charming portrayal of God still captured the hearts of audiences.
