On this day, October 4, 1980, the animated series Thundarr the Barbarian made its debut on ABC! The show, set in a post-apocalyptic future, followed the adventures of Thundarr, Princess Ariel, and Ookla the Mok as they battled evil sorcerers and mutants. Despite only running for two seasons with 21 episodes, Thundarr became a beloved cult classic among fans of 80s animation.
