On August 2, 1989, the comedy-drama film “Parenthood” premiered in theaters. Directed by Ron Howard, the movie features an all-star cast including Steve Martin, Tom Hulce, Rick Moranis, Martha Plimpton, Keanu Reeves, Jason Robards, Mary Steenburgen, and Dianne Wiest. The film, which explores the complexities of family life, became a box office success and was the 9th highest-grossing movie of 1989.
