Plot: Prancer 1989 is a warm and emotional Christmas movie that centers on a young girl named Jessica Riggs. Living with her widowed father on a struggling apple farm, Jessica’s world changes when she discovers an injured reindeer in the woods. Convinced it is Prancer, one of Santa’s magical reindeer, she takes it upon herself to care for the creature in secret.

As word spreads through her small town, Jessica’s belief in the magic of Christmas begins to inspire those around her, including skeptical adults who have lost their holiday spirit. The film builds to an emotional and hopeful climax as Jessica tries to reunite Prancer with Santa on Christmas Eve.

Starring Rebecca Harrell, Sam Elliott, and Cloris Leachman, Prancer is a heartfelt story about faith, family, and the power of belief. The movie has become a seasonal favorite for families who cherish holiday films that focus on innocence and hope.

The movie was filmed in Three Oaks, Michigan, and the town continues to celebrate its connection to the film with special screenings during the holidays.
