On this day September 5, 1987, the eighth studio album by Y and T, Contagious, was released. Packed with sharp guitar riffs, sing along choruses, and a punchy production style, the album leaned into the glam influenced hard rock sound that defined much of the late 80s. It marked the debut of drummer Jimmy DeGrasso, whose energy brought a renewed drive to the band’s rhythm section.
