On this day September 15 1986, the animated series Rambo The Force of Freedom premiered in syndication. Loosely based on the popular Rambo film franchise, the show reimagined John Rambo as the leader of a special unit called The Force of Freedom, tasked with battling the evil organization S.A.V.A.G.E.
