On this day May 24, 1986, the final episode of Mr. Sunshine aired on ABC, quietly concluding the short lived sitcom after just one season and 11 episodes. Ah, Mr. Sunshine! Now there's a show that tried to shine a light in its own unique way. I remember catching a few episodes back in the day. Jeffrey Tambor really brought something special to the role of Paul Stark. It was refreshing to see a character with a disability portrayed with such humor and dignity. Even though it didn't last long, it had a certain charm that left a mark.

The 80s were full of these little gems that sometimes got overshadowed by the bigger hits.
