On this day May 22, 1985, the comedy film Brewster’s Millions hit theaters starring Richard Pryor as Monty Brewster and John Candy as his best friend Spike. Directed by Walter Hill, this modern take on the classic story followed a minor league baseball player who must spend 30 million dollars in 30 days in order to inherit 300 million more.
