On this day May 15, 1983, The Creatures released their debut album Feast, marking a bold and experimental new direction for Siouxsie Sioux and drummer Budgie outside of their work with Siouxsie and the Banshees. The album reached number 17 in Canada and showcased a sound built around tribal percussion, atmospheric textures and minimal instrumentation, setting it apart from the post punk styles dominating the early 80s.
