On this day May 12, 1987, NBC aired the final episode of The Tortellis, a short-lived sitcom and spinoff of the hugely popular series Cheers. The show centered on Nick and Loretta Tortelli, characters who had made recurring appearances on Cheers, and followed their lives in Las Vegas alongside their eccentric extended family.
