On this day March 9 1987 Gary Moore released his sixth solo album Wild Frontier blending his signature guitar-driven hard rock with strong Celtic influences. The album was a tribute to his late friend and Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott incorporating elements of Irish folk music into Moore’s powerful rock sound.
