On this day March 23 1982 Joanie Loves Chachi premiered on ABC. The sitcom was a spinoff of Happy Days starring Scott Baio as Chachi Arcola and Erin Moran as Joanie Cunningham. The series followed Joanie and Chachi as they pursued a music career in Chicago while dealing with their relationship ups and downs. The show was highly anticipated but struggled with ratings. It ran for two seasons with a total of 17 episodes before being canceled. Joanie and Chachi eventually returned to Happy Days...
