On this day March 21 1986 the animated film GoBots Battle of the Rock Lords premiered in theaters. Directed by Ray Patterson the movie featured voice talents from Margot Kidder Roddy McDowall Michael Nouri and Telly Savalas.

Serving as a theatrical extension of the GoBots toy line and animated series the film introduced the Rock Lords a new faction of transforming robots made of living rock. The story followed the GoBots teaming up with the heroic Rock Lords to battle against the evil...
