On this day March 2 1987 Siouxsie and the Banshees released their eighth studio album Through the Looking Glass. Unlike their previous records this album was a collection of cover songs reinterpreted in the band’s signature post punk and gothic style.
Through the Looking Glass reached number 188 on the Billboard 200 charts and featured unique renditions of songs from a variety of artists. Notable tracks included their haunting version of Billie Holiday’s Strange Fruit a bold take on Iggy...
