On this day March 14 1982 Swedish rock band Europe released their self-titled debut album. The album introduced the band's melodic hard rock sound and set the stage for their later success.

Europe reached number eight on the Swedish charts and featured songs like In the Future to Come and Seven Doors Hotel which helped establish their fanbase. These guys were very under rated. They made some great songs during the early 80s.
