On this day March 10 1989 the fantasy adventure film The Adventures of Baron Munchausen premiered in theaters. Directed by Terry Gilliam the film starred John Neville as the legendary Baron Munchausen who embarks on a series of wild and fantastical adventures. The cast also included Sarah Polley Eric Idle Jonathan Pryce Oliver Reed and Uma Thurman in one of her earliest roles.

Despite its imaginative storytelling stunning visuals and ambitious special effects the film struggled at the box...
