On this day June 26, 1981, The Great Muppet Caper premiered in theaters. Directed by Jim Henson, the film followed Kermit, Fozzie, and Gonzo as reporters on assignment in London, trying to solve the mystery of a stolen diamond. Filled with musical numbers, celebrity cameos, and the signature Muppet humor, it was a fun and colorful follow up to The Muppet Movie.
