On this day June 13, 1980, Roadie premiered in theaters. Directed by Alan Rudolph, the offbeat comedy starred Meat Loaf as Travis W. Redfish, a Texas good old boy who stumbles into the chaotic world of rock and roll tour life. The film followed his rise as a road crew legend thanks to his mechanical skills, wild personality and a dream of winning over the girl he loves.
