On this day June 1, 1983, the final episode of Tales of the Gold Monkey aired on ABC, closing out the adventure series after just one season and 22 episodes. Set in the South Pacific during the late 1930s, the show followed pilot Jake Cutter as he flew missions aboard his seaplane and uncovered danger, mystery, and intrigue in exotic locales.
