On this day July 4, 1985, The Raccoons premiered on CBC and introduced audiences to a charming animated world set in the Evergreen Forest. This Canadian animated series ran for five seasons and produced a total of 60 episodes, earning a loyal fan base across Canada and eventually internationally.
