He wasn’t all that popular before his one hit wonder 867-5309/Jenny. Even after that, he never released anything that became a major hit. But 867 was and still is one of the greatest songs of the 80s.

You think I remember? I called up that number various times with different area codes. The best one was the voicemail with a girl singing the chorus.
