On this day April 7, 1989, Garfield no Isshukan, also known as A Week of Garfield, was released in Japan for the Famicom. Based on Jim Davis’s iconic comic strip character, the game followed everyone’s favorite lazy orange cat as he searched for his missing owner, Jon Arbuckle, over the course of a week.
