On this day April 12, 1983, the final episode of Ace Crawford Private Eye aired, bringing the short lived detective comedy series to an end after just 5 episodes. Starring Tim Conway, the show was a spoof of classic film noir and detective stories, featuring a bumbling but oddly effective private investigator who somehow always managed to crack the case.
