On this day April 10, 1989, New Kids on the Block released the ballad I'll Be Loving You (Forever), a slow jam that would soon take over the charts and become the group’s first number 1 hit in the United States. The song climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and held the number 1 spot from June 17 through June 23, 1989.
